Hope you are well! In this
Volume X of The Anti Prevention Nation we kick off a three-part series called "
Disease Begins in the Colon." Proper colon health and regular cleansing is at the very heart of the
Amazing Health Life Formula that I've been talking to you about.
Once you have good water to drink and have begun to do some water fasting mixed with Himalayan Crystal Salt, then it's time to turn your attention to ridding your colon of disease causing debris.
You will be amazed at the bunk that many of us carry in our colon without knowing. Pungent, rotting fecal matter from food that was never fully digested/absorbed. Some debris can remain in the colon for years just rotting and continually intoxicating the blood stream. It is not only disgusting but it is HUGELY dangerous.
With many of our diets filled with sugar, fried foods, pastries and enriched products, it is little wonder why cases of coloncancer are increasing.
But we do not have to fall into that category. There is a way out. Fasting is, by far, one of the most powerful methods I have ever known to detoxify the body and avoid - and even heal - disease.
For that reason, we put together this series of e-mails called "Disease Begins in the Colon" that we hope you find interesting and useful. If you know or think you suffer from colon toxicity, then it is my hope that these e-mails will move you into action. Alright, let's dive in:
Digestive Disease & Intestinal Health
There is an old saying that "Death Begins in the Colon." This is an oversimplification.to be sure, but it is frighteningly accurate. In fact, the road to health begins with intestinal cleansing and detoxification -- no matter what the disease or problem.
In the mid 1980's, approximately 60 and 70 million Americans were stricken with diseases of the digestive system. Today it's close to 100 million. In fact, digestive disorders are responsible for over 50 million physician visits and more hospitalizations than any other category of medical problems in the United States today.
The total cost to the American public for allaspects of digestive disease is well over $100 Billion per year. I don't know about you, but when I first came across these figures, I was alarmed and angry. Why do we allow ourselves to become so fat and toxic?
Believe me, I don't say this in judgment. I was in that condition for many years.
What are some Digestive Disorders?
*Constipation and the attendant symptoms of self toxification
*Diverticular disease (herniations of the colon)
*Hemorrhoids
*Irritable Bowel Syndrome
*Ulcerative Colitis
*Crohn's Disease
Other Related Digestive Diseases
It is worth noting that many other diseases (that at first glanceappear to have no connection with the digestive tract) have beenrelated by many doctors to the bowel. These include: diabetes, gall stones, kidney stones, gout, hypertension, varicose veins, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and obesity.
Parasites!
It has been estimated that as many as 80% of all Americans areafflicted with intestinal parasites. Symptoms include: nervousness, aches and pains that move from place to place in the body, mimicked appendicitis, ulcers and various digestive pain, nausea or diarrhea, itching, acne, foul breath, furred tongue, jaundice, fatigue, menstrual irregularities. and insomnia.
Candida Albicans
More and more doctors are now aware of how endemic yeast infections such as Candida are. Symptoms include:
*Chronic fatigue (especially after eating)*Depression*Bloating, gas, cramps, chronic diarrhea or constipation*Rectal itching*Allergies*Severe PMS*Impotence,*Memory loss*Mood swings*Recurrent fungal infections (such as athlete's foot)*Extreme sensitivity to chemicals (perfumes, smoke, odors, etc.)*Lightheadedness or drunkenness after minimal consumption ofwine, beer, or sugar.
These symptoms are downright scary to me, especially since most of them are treated with everything and anything "except" fasting, weight loss and proper nutrition.
But It's Even Worse: Cancer
The situation is serious. Diseases of the digestive system havereached an all time high in the United States -- and are still onthe rise. The number one cancer among men and women combined iscolon/rectal cancer.
According to the Merck Manual (the medical industry's standard text for the diagnosis and treatment of disease), the incidence of diverticulitis has increased dramatically over the last 40 years -- from 10% of the adult population over the age of 45 with one or two bowel herniations to, "EVERY PERSON WILL HAVE MANY."
In other words, virtually 100% of all American adults will eventually have diverticulitis of the large intestine. Why? Yep, you guessed it: a bad diet (in most cases).
What is the Problem?
Our modern lifestyle has taken its toll on our digestive/elimination organs. Refined, processed, low fiber foods, animal fats, a lack of exercise, and an ever increasing level of stress all contribute to our current gastro-intestinal health crisis.
Consider that a sluggish bowel can retain pounds of old toxic andpoisonous fecal matter (10-20 pounds is not unusual, and up to 65 pounds has actually been reported). Many times the real cause behind sickness and disease is this retention and re absorption of built up toxic waste.
How Often Should I Poop?
There has been a great misconception among the public and mostmedical professionals about how often a normal healthy personshould move their bowels. For years, doctors have thought thatanywhere between one bowel movement a day and one a week wasnormal.
What we have learned is that it is normal, and necessary,to have one bowel movement a day for each meal you eat. (If you eat three meals, you should have three bowel movements.)
Ok, let's stop right here today. In Volume XI of The Anti Prevention Nation, we will talk about ways in which one can start to heal the colon and avert this terrible epidemic of toxicity that is so severely threatening us.
Drop me a line and let me know what you think about this important topic! :-)
